Winter residencies, January to April 2027

Two residencies this winter, one after the other. One resident at a time, four to six weeks. The first runs from 15 January to 28 February 2027, the second from 1 March to 15 April. This call covers both. Applications close on 15 December 2026.

What we ask of you

  1. Develop your proposal into a written conceptIn week one, with us. Two pages: what you'll make, how, and how you'll know it worked.
  2. A working logKept as you go, in a form we can keep digitally later. It stays with the farm as part of its record.
  3. One public eventA dinner, a workshop, a walk. We fill the room, you run it, and you take the larger share.
  4. One thing left behindBuilt, living or written, and documented well enough to work without you.
  5. A day a week on the farmHands in the vegetable patch with the rest of us. It's the fastest way to learn what the place has.
  6. A share of the houseHelp cook now and then, keep the shared spaces tidy, pitch in like everyone else who lives here.

Things people ask

Can I come with someone?
Yes, if you're fine sharing a room.
Do I have to cook for the house?
No. You eat with us either way. Cook for the house when you want to test something on real people.
Who owns what I make?
You keep the recipes and methods. We keep the right to use them here.
Can I bring my own project money?
Yes, please. Grants and sponsors are welcome, and we can write a letter of support for a grant application. We can't provide documents for visa or immigration processes.
